Hack.Diversity’s Mentor Network is made up of leading professionals committed to our mission and working with Fellows directly!

Are you passionate about supporting diversity in tech? Hack.Diversity is always on the lookout for the best and brightest mentors to help guide our Fellows and company partners throughout the year. What that support looks like may be different depending on who you are.  

Maybe you’re a CTO looking for a way to invigorate your team with new talent and different ideas. Maybe you’re a seasoned tech professional who wants to provide the guidance you wish you’d had as you navigated your own career. Maybe you are someone who is finally ready to do more than just tweet about change.

THE HACK.DIVERSITY MENTOR COMMITMENT

Hack.Diversity Mentors play a crucial role in guiding emerging technologists to realize their full potential and establish long-term, growth-oriented careers in the innovation economy. 

A HACK.DIVERSITY MENTOR IS…

A professional with at least 3 years of experience in the tech and/or innovation industries, and have a mix of the following: 

  • Ties to and/or currently located in Greater Boston or New York City

  • Experience at a manager level or above

  • Technical background or fluency

  • Commitment to taking action to increase racial equity, diversity, and inclusion in the innovation economy

  • Commitment to dedicating 5 hours/month from January - September 2025 to provide 1:1 mentorship and to attend/support other Hack.Diversity events/initiatives as needed

  • Willingness to stay updated on Hack.Diversity programming and processes and to coach along our organizationally established guidelines

  • Reliability with communication (our primary platforms are Slack and email) and Eastern Time availability

  • Self-motivation and resourcefulness in finding answers and appropriate sources for support (for yourself and your Mentee).
