In its 9th cycle, Hack.Diversity admits its most competitive Cohort yet and partners with 15+ companies in Boston and NYC's tech ecosystem.
BOSTON, MA and NEW YORK CITY, NY — February 27, 2025 — Hack.Diversity kicks off its 2025 program cycle with 70 Fellows and 15+ Host Companies, fast-growing businesses and industry pillars. Since its first program cycle in 2017, Hack.Diversity has connected 550+ technologists with internship-to-retention opportunities in tech. Hack.Alumni continue to make an impact across people, products, and profits at our Host Companies — including athenahealth, CarGurus, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Rapid7 — and across the innovation economy.
"I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the Hack.Diversity 2025 Software Engineering Fellowship. As a working mom in school, the road hasn’t been easy. But every late night, early morning, and sacrifice has been worth it to set a good example for my kids. I’m proud to show them that with determination and resilience, anything is possible. Here’s to embracing growth, breaking barriers, and creating a brighter future for us all!" - Jei Davignon, 2025 Fellow
With over 1,000 candidates applying for just 70 spots this year, the demand for Hack.Diversity’s Fellowship has never been greater. Among the 2025 Fellows:
59% are first-generation college students
33% pursued education through community college
26% completed a coding bootcamp
68% are securing their first internships in software engineering or data analytics
"Hack.Diversity is excited to welcome our newest Cohort," says Michelle De La Isla, CEO of Hack.Diversity. "Our commitment to serving the next generation of leaders remains stronger than ever. While this year’s Cohort is smaller, it reflects the current job market for early-career engineers and changing political landscape. With Fellows and Host Companies at the center of our work, we are doubling down on innovation and reinvention to meet the demand for our program and deliver programming to help companies navigate an ever-evolving industry."
Hack.Diversity’s impact is reflected in the ongoing success of its Fellows and Alumni. Hack.Alumni are elevating in their careers — they’re retained, promoted, and stepping into influential leadership roles — while contributing to the bottom lines of 75+ companies. By partnering with Hack.Diversity, companies invest in early-career talent and co-design strategies to transform the workplace, more effectively hiring, retaining, and elevating all talent profiles.
In 2025, 15+ companies are participating in the nine-month program to strengthen their talent acquisition pipelines, develop intercultural leadership skills, and positively transform their workplaces. First-year partners include BCG X and True Tickets.
