McKenzie’s journey into the world of partnerships began during her tenure at a Philadelphia-based non-profit, where she worked with company partners to introduce middle school students to diverse career opportunities. It was here that she embarked on a transformative fellowship with Women of Equity, which inspired her to challenge and decolonize her professional practices. This experience set the stage for her subsequent role at an ed-tech company where her passion for fostering workplaces rooted in REDI (racial equity, diversity, and inclusion) principles blossomed. Motivated by an unwavering commitment to driving lasting change, McKenzie discovered her true calling with Hack.
Beyond her professional pursuits, you’ll often find McKenzie hanging out with her rambunctious cats, Cyrus and Heath Ledger, or channeling her creative energies into intricate crochet projects.
