CLARIBEL LIZARDO-GONZALEZ (she/her)
Claribel is the Director of People and Culture at Hack.Diversity. She leads initiatives that prioritize human-centered strategies and programs designed to support personal and professional growth, ensuring all employees feel valued, heard, and equipped to succeed. Claribel’s leadership philosophy is shaped by the belief that true value lies in the ability to bridge the gap between organizational goals and human connection.
As a first-generation professional, a woman, and a Latina, Claribel's own experiences have deeply influenced her work. Raised in Queens, NY, by immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic, she understands the challenges of navigating spaces where one may feel underrepresented. These experiences fuel her commitment to building diverse, supportive communities where everyone has the resources to thrive.
Since joining Hack.Diversity, Claribel has led several key initiatives, including:
Championing discussions on equity and workforce development to help shape solutions to address unmet needs
Leading staff retreats and leadership cohorts focused on developing inclusive leadership strategies and skills
Engaging with a community of HR leaders to emphasize the importance of community and connection in driving positive workplace transformation
When she's not leading initiatives at Hack.Diversity, she is fueling her wanderlust - whether it’s exploring new corners of the world or trying new food experiences. She loves spending quality time with her family, often the go-to planner for gatherings and celebrations that bring everyone together. Whether traveling with her husband or enjoying time with loved ones, Claribel is always up for an adventure!
