CLARIBEL LIZARDO-GONZALEZ (she/her)
In her role as the Director of People and Culture at Hack.Diversity, Claribel aims to create an inclusive environment that empowers individuals to thrive. She plans to incorporate human-centric strategies, policies, and programs where employees feel valued, heard, and supported in their personal and professional growth. Her goal is to influence others positively by providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
Claribel's personal experiences as a first-generation professional, a woman, and a Latina deeply influence her work. Having faced the challenges of entering spaces where she felt underrepresented and lacked support, she understands the transformative power of an inclusive community. With her upbringing in the diverse borough of Queens, NY, and with parents who immigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic, she developed a strong work ethic, resilience, and a deep appreciation for knowledge. These experiences drive her passion to create supportive and inclusive workplaces, leveraging her background in mental health and vocational work to make a positive impact at Hack.Diversity.
Outside of work, Claribel's priorities include planning events and celebrations for her large family and traveling with her husband. Claribel also prioritizes various activities that contribute to her overall well-being. She finds balance and rejuvenation through practicing yoga therapy and Pilates. Balancing these personal pursuits with her professional endeavors enables Claribel to bring her best self to both aspects of her life.
