We celebrate Hack.Alumni — 550+ strong — as they elevate within their Host Companies and drive the next generation of innovation and inclusion in tech.

Laying the Foundation for Generational Wealth

In 2021, Hack.Diversity launched a study with BW Research to better understand the upward mobility of Hack.Alumni.

In 2024, data revealed that wage growth was higher among Hack.Alumni working full-time than the comparison groups.* 69% of Hack.Alumni respondents earned at least $75,000 vs 41% of the cohort-weighted control group and 46% of the population-weighted group. Hack.Alumni also reported facing fewer barriers to career advancement than the comparison groups.

Both comparison groups only include respondents with 3 years of experience or less to make a fair comparison to Hack.Alumni who responded

Hack.Diversity has been instrumental in supporting me as a Black professional navigating the tech industry. Beyond facilitating my first internship, crucial for laying the groundwork for my career, they provided networking opportunities and a supportive community to address unique challenges faced by underrepresented individuals.

Hack.Diversity is a lifelong community for our Alumni, providing continued support as they navigate new career milestones and challenges. We are inspired by how this powerful network uplifts one another — sharing knowledge and opportunity, advocating for change, and paying it forward to next generation of technologists. As our Alumni grow, they continue to raise the bar for a more inclusive, dynamic, and innovative industry.

There have been points in my career where I felt paralyzed by imposter syndrome. But, you can’t let that stop you from giving it a shot. Never let those feelings block you from learning and growing. Even if you ‘fail,’ you will still learn something and can carry that experience with you.
