VALDIR LIMA (he/him)
Valdir Lima is a Program Manager on the Fellow Success team. His work includes recruiting, coaching, and mentoring Fellows throughout their time at Hack. Passionate about his work as an equity practitioner, Valdir is driven to support aspiring, underrepresented Black & Latinx technologists while also helping organizations realize their fullest social and economic potential through the lens and advocacy of REDI (racial equity, diversity, and inclusion).
Prior to joining Hack, he worked as a Sr. Early Talent Recruiter for Liberty Mutual Insurance with a focus on attracting and retaining non-traditional tech talent. Valdir also joins the team with 10+ years of experience working in non-profit organizations. Born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, his personal experiences are closely tied to his commitment to REDI and dedication to the work of providing resources and support to youth living in low-income communities in the Greater Boston Area.
When not at work, you’ll probably find Valdir spending time with his wife and young son. In his free time, you can also catch him at his local YMCA playing basketball, boxing, reading, playing FIFA, visiting family, listening to good music, and watching Paw Patrol with his son.
