Why are you interested in working with computers and technology?

I grew up in the age of technology. Initially, I avoided studying technology because I was not confident in my analytical capabilities and I didn’t see others who looked like me studying technology. In college, I acknowledged my love for computers. I also love when I find the solutions to problems; it’s exhilarating.

What’s your current dream job?

Tech Entrepreneur with a strong Data Science background/role.

How do you want to change the world? How do you want to change the tech scene?

I want to change so many things in the world, which is another reason I got into tech. Tech could help accomplish what I want to do. I want to get more people of color involved in technology because their ideas are not being heard, and they are limiting themselves from an amazing industry. I want to better integrate health with technology.

Why is diversity important to you?

When I was a child I didn’t see many black women in tech, so I figured it was not the industry for me. However, there are few black women in technology probably because black girls lack models they can look up to in this field. Diversity in all jobs, especially technology, is important to me because it is all about representation.
