HACK 500

Hack500 is a campaign to raise $500,000 by 2020 so that Hack.Diversity can become the sustainable and scalable program addressing the underrepresentation of high-skilled Black and Latino tech talent in Boston’s innovation economy. With your support, by 2021, we will be able to help close 500 graduates reach their dreams. It takes a village to drive this type of change and your engagement is critical to our community’s success as we hack diversity.

DONATIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Our Fellows have minimal corporate work experience, which leads to a glaring gap in career readiness and soft-skills. Hack.Diversity’s curriculum is targeted to address these gaps and set Fellows up for success. Any gift, big or small, makes a difference towards this goal and mission!

Here are some example gifts and the impact they will have:

$3,500
Resume & Interview Prep Workshops for five Hack.Diversity Fellows

$5,000
Leadership Coaching, Goal Setting & Public Speaking Workshop for five Hack.Diversity Fellows

$10,000
One-on-one Career Coaching for one Hack.Diversity Fellow

$25,000
Complete support for one Hack.Diversity Fellow

Hack.Diversity exists not as a charity, but as a resource to help solve a problem that is holding back our economy on multiple fronts.

GOALS FOR GROWTH

We’ve started small but are dreaming big. With each year, the Hack.Diversity Class will grow so that we can increase our impact.

Cumulative impact:
451 Black and Latino tech employees by 2022

THE IMPACT SO FAR

In our inaugural year, Hack.Diversity boasted a 16 Fellow cohort, placed into six Tech and Life Science companies in Boston. Of the 16, 5 landed full-time positions, 4 received internship extensions, 5 enrolled full-time to pursue higher education, and the remaining 2 are leveraging their Hack.Diversity experience for next opportunities – and each one has strengthened core skills, built crucial networks, and gained critical experience.

Hear some of their stories and get to know all of our 2017 Fellows.
